Wow, what a series! I am going to review these volumes as a whole and not review each individual one for obvious reasons. The first reason being that you can't start the series anywhere except Volume 1 or you will have no idea what is going on.
Staci starts working at The Blue Room to find answers as to what happened to her roommate and best friend. When she starts she doesn't realize exactly what goes on at the club, she thinks she only has to sing and that's it. However, she soon learns there is more to the club than what is on the surface.
Terrance is blown away by Staci's beauty and her ability to captivate a room without even trying. Since he is the manager of the club, he knows she is strictly off limits. However, the more he is around her, the more his control starts to melt away and he has to give into to his cravings for her. While he doesn't want to share her with anyone else, he knows he has to. But that doesn't mean he has to like it.
When Staci meets the allusive Mr. X, she is determined to find out if he is the one behind her friend's disappearance. But the more she is with him, the more she wants from him. When they give into to the sexual heat building between them, Staci can't believe what she had been missing.
But just when things start heating up between Staci, Mr. X and Terrance; Staci learns she is not safe at the club. Between someone breaking into her room, breaking into her mom's house, poisoning her, etc. she is not sure who she can trust.
These books are a wonderful blend of sexual intensity, exploration and suspense. I had to keep turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. The great thing about these books is that the next volume picks up right where the last one left you. The author did a wonderful job of sucking you into the story and keeping you turning the pages. I have really enjoyed this series and I can't wait until the conclusion, Volume 8, is released to FINALLY find out who is behind everything and if things are truly as they seem.
