Excerpt Reveal of TALES OF A TOMBOY: BRITAIN by Evan Grace

Britain: Tales of a Tomboy by Evan Grace is LIVE!

ONE-CLICK TODAY! AMAZON | AMAZON UNIVERSAL

I have two rules no dates and no spending the night.

I don’t have time to manage all the complications that come with relationships. And I sure as hell have no desire for any kind of commitment.

My life is fairly uncomplicated, exactly the way I want it...until complicated literally stumbles my way. Britain Lancaster. Clumsy, plain, inexperienced, and the type of woman I tend to avoid.
Unfortunately for me the universe seems to put her on my path around every corner, forcing me to notice her. To look at her. To really...see her.

Pretty soon the universe no longer has to go through all the trouble sending her my way since I find myself looking for her, wanting to get to know her. And the more time I spend with her the more I realize that she’s everything I’m not.
Pure, beautiful, innocent...corruptible.

Now I can’t get her out of my head. I want her in ways that could ruin her, taint her, break her, and I can only hope she’s strong enough to survive this.

EXCERPT REVEAL

After driving around for a while, I head back toward town. I look at the time and it’s ten thirty. The familiar sign with a dog holding a cup of coffee is up ahead, so I decide to pull into the Coffee Hound and grab myself a snickerdoodle latte, my favorite.

Inside there are a few people in the seating area; I pay them no mind and walk up to the counter. "Hey, Jessie."

The bubbly brunette bee-bops over to the counter. "Hey, Britain. The usual?"

I nod and then pay for my drink. I move down to the end of the counter and wait for it. I’m concentrating on my game of Candy Crush when a deep voice pulls me from my game.

"I’ll take a large iced coffee, please." I watch out of the corner of my eye as he pays. I’ve never seen him before; I would’ve remembered him. He’s tall compared to my five-foot-four frame—at least six-one or six-two. He looks muscular from what I can tell, and he’s broad chested, with the material tight around his biceps. They’re not necessarily huge, just fit…strong. His dark blond hair is short on the sides and a little longer on top—it looks super soft and slightly wavy.

He moves to stand by me and his woodsy scent wraps around me. All of a sudden I’m hot—why do I feel flushed? My tank top feels uncomfortably tight right now. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Thankfully my name gets called and I grab my drink. "Thanks, Jessie. See ya tomorrow." I turn to walk away and my gaze travels up to meet Mr. Smell Good’s. He’s got the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. They’re the color of the sky on a bright, cloudless day. Bright, cloudless day? What the hell?

He looks me up and down, taking in the hot mess that I am, and rolls his eyes. Of course I’m not surprised by his reaction. I don’t wear makeup and I don’t do my hair. Ninety percent of the time I’m in nondescript clothing, and today I’m basically in pajamas. It still hurts and I don’t get it. I mask the hurt before he can see it and give him the same look, but mouth the word, "dick."

Karma hates me, because I move around him to make my exit and trip over my own fucking feet. My latte goes everywhere and I hit the ground with a jarring thud. The good-looking dick steps right over me with a chuckle and walks right out of the shop.

A couple of patrons come to my aid and help me up. "Britain, are you okay?" Jessie says from next to me.

She grabs my smashed cup out of my hands and I begin to wipe myself off. Crumbs are stuck to my knees and the palms of my hands…Gross. I bruise easily, so I’m sure I’ll have them on both knees—whatever, everyone is used to seeing me covered in bruises anyway. "Yeah, I’m okay, thanks. God, that guy was such a dick." I mutter that last part.

Jessie giggles before telling me she’s making me a new drink. I’m grateful for it, and it just shows what amazing people the baristas are here. A few minutes later, one of the other girls has my drink cleaned up off of the floor and Jessie hands me a fresh one. "Here you go, girl." She leans in. "Yeah, that guy was a total dick." Her voice’s quiet enough that I’m the only one who hears her.

By the time I pull up in front of my brother’s house, my knees are already starting to turn purple. I climb out of my car and make my way around the back of the house to enter in through the door off the kitchen. I hate to think that I’m intruding on Keith and Beth’s family time with their girls sometimes, and no, that’s never happened. I just love living with them and don’t want to ever overstay my welcome.

I sip my drink as I head into my room, flop down on my bed, and turn my TV on. One of my guilty pleasures is watching the train wrecks that are The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. I found the former last year by mistake, and I hate to admit that I was hooked immediately. What can I say, I love the drama. I don’t know why I hide it, but I do. Maybe because I know the boys at the shop, my dad and brothers included, would give me shit.

I have my own cable hookup and DVR—that way, I can record and watch what I want without the grief. It doesn’t take long before I’m lost in the crazy shenanigans…just the way I like to spend a lazy Sunday.

REVIEW

I absolutely love Evan Grace and this book is just one more reason why.  She has the undeniable ability to write a book that sucks you in and gives you all the feels.  I could not put this one down.

Britain is 100% unapologetically  tomboy.  She doesn't wear makeup and dresses for comfort, not to impress.  She hasn't had a boyfriend before and is in no rush for one now.  That is until the hottest, yet rudest guy she has ever met crosses her path.  He makes her open her eyes and see that maybe, he could be the one for her.

Silas has no plans to settle down anytime soon.  He is busy building his business and spreading to love to willing females.  However, fate has other plans and throws Britain into his life.  Now he must decide if he is finally going to open his heart to someone or let the best thing that has ever happened to him slip away.

Britain and Silas were perfect for each other.  He knew exactly what she needed and was her rock while dealing with her past.  I loved the connection they had and couldn't help but root for their HEA.  This book was a great beginning to a wonderful new series and I can't wait to read what the author has in store for us next!

Review of UNTIL COBI by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Title: Until Cobi
Series: Until Him #3
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: November 27, 2018

Blurb

Cobi Mayson knows exactly who Hadley is to him the moment he sees her for the very first time. That doesn’t mean it will be easy for him to convince her to take a chance on him.

Hadley Emerson knows she could fall hard and fast for a guy like Cobi. A man who seems to show up every time she needs him, but she knows better than to just hand over her heart.

Knowing his future with Hadley is on the line, Cobi begins to tie their lives together. As the invisible rope that connects them tightens and things between them heat up, an unknown threat emerges threatening to take away their happily ever after and send them both into darkness.

Review

With each book in the Until series we get, the more I want a story for everyone and I want it yesterday!  Cobi and Hadley were so wonderful and I couldn't be happier with their story.  Cobi is 100% alpha and absolutely lives up to the boom.  He fell for Hadley the first time he saw her and nothing will stand in his way of making her his.

Hadley didn't have the best life growing up and her experience has left her more than a little jaded.  So when Cobi plants himself in her life, she isn't sure what to think.  She wants what she is feeling to be true, but how can she trust her heart when she has no positive experience to draw from?  But no matter what, Cobi is determined to break down her walls and prove that she is the only one for him.

I feel like I say this every time, but Aurora has hit it out of the park once again with Cobi and Hadley's story.  She just has an uncanny ability to write a story that sucks you in and keeps you there until the last page. I absolutely loved each and every word and will definitely re-read this one again.  My only hope is that we can get December and Gareth's story very, very soon!!

Review of DECEPTION by C.A. Harms

DECEPTION by C.A. Harms is LIVE on Amazon!

One-Click: Amazon | Amazon Universal

Add it to your TBR http://bit.ly/DeceptionTBR

Deception: The act of deceiving someone.

That became a pattern in my life. It was the way the chips fell. I'm destined to be that girl that fell for the wrong guy. If he was a liar and a cheat, I found him or he found me. It didn’t really  matter how it happened, it just always did.

But when I met Jake, I thought he was different. He was just a guy trying to get by, much like me in a sense. He was happy with the little things in life...he made me feel safe and settled.

That was until I found out that his name, his life, and the man he pretended to be, were nothing but a fraud. He used me to get the answers he needed, and in the process, he managed to take my last ounce of hope and crush it.

I just wanted him gone. I wanted to forget the times we shared, the laughs we had. I wanted to ignore the fact that he’d so easily found a place in my heart.

Only there was one problem... I wasn’t allowed to forget.

I am reminded daily of him. Each morning, I have no choice but to look into the same, beautiful eyes he possessed. I see his smile, and that same shade of dark melted chocolate hair that at one point, I loved running my fingers through.

Every single day I reminded of the fact that the father of my child is nothing more than a man that truly never existed.

REVIEW

Blair has never had good luck when it comes to men.  When her latest boyfriend leaves her high and dry, she gets a job as a bartender to help pay the rent.  The last thing she needs is another man in her life, but there is something about the bar manager that pulls her in.  When she throws caution to the wind, she feels something that she has never felt before.  But before she can get too carried away, life reminds her it is not fair and can pull the rug out from under you when you least expect it.

Jake has been attracted to Blair since the first time he saw her.  He knew getting involved with her was a bad idea, but there was just something about her that made him believe he could be something more, something better than he was.  But soon his chance of happiness is ripped away and he must decide if he is willing to make sacrifices in order to get her back by his side.

I really liked Blair.  She was a lot stronger then she realized and made for a great heroine.  She knew what she deserved in life and would settle for nothing else.  Jake was great too, he just had to show Blair that she was his HEA.  I really enjoyed this story and how the author gave us glimpses into the lives of the other characters in the story.  My only hope is that we will get to check-in with all of these characters in the future.

Review of ROYALLY YOURS by Emma Chase

Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.

It’s a big deal.

When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.

What she isn’t…is married.

It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.

Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.

Even Queens. Especially them.

**

Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.

And a sacred promise keeps him there.

To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.

**

Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.

Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.

This is theirs.

 REVIEW

Royally Yours is a great royal romance.  We met the Queen in the first book of this series and continued to get glimpses of her in the other books.  So when I heard she was getting her own story, I was so excited that we were finally going to know more about her and her love Edward.  And needless to say, her story was everything that I hoped it would be.

Lenora and Edward were perfect for each other.  I loved how Edward was such an alpha, but knew when to hold back and let Lenora shine.  Lenora was a strong woman who faced her battles head on and always did what was right. And when she fell for Edward, she knew that she could face anything with him by her side.

This book had humor, sadness, an alpha determined to win his queen and a HEA. I truly enjoyed this book and loved the way it ended. I have enjoyed each book in this series and each one is definitely on my re-read list.

Review of BEAU (The Walkers of Coyote Ridge #5) by Nicole Edwards

Nicole's highly anticipated novel of 2018...

BEAU

Release Date: October 23, 2018
Cover Image Copyright © Wander Aguiar Photography
Cover Model(s): Randy & Eisman

THEIR LOVE IS UNDENIABLE…
Happily married for four and a half years, Beau and Ethan Walker are ready for the next phase in their lives. They want what so many people dream of: A baby.

THEIR COMMITMENT IS UNWAVERING…
Expanding their family with a tiny bundle of joy isn’t as easy for them as it is for the rest of the Walker clan. However, they have options and they’re willing to do what it takes because they’ve learned that the things worth fighting for aren’t always easy, but they are definitely worth it.

THEIR STRENGTH WILL BE TESTED…
Despite their deep desire and their endless efforts to start a family, there are outside forces working against them. Some they can see, others they can’t. Every step forward seems to take them two steps back.

Only during their darkest moments do Beau and Ethan realize their true strength comes from the most important things they have: love, family, and each other.

This book shows exactly why I will always be a Nicole Edwards fan.  She has the ability to create a story that draws you in and makes you feel like you a part of this families lives.  That this is not just a story, but a real life family and they welcome you with open arms to share in everything they do.  Needless to say, I absolutely loved this book.

I had so many emotions while reading this one.  I love this family and I want nothing but the best for them.  Each time we get a new book, I am dying because I feel like my own family is expanding.  With that said, my heart hurt for everything Beau and Ethan were going through and the obstacles that stood in their way.  I kept hoping everything would work out and they would get their HEA, so needless to say, I couldn't put it down.  However, there are two things that I never doubted.  One, their family would support them every step of the way and their love for each other would never waiver.

This book was everything that I was hoping it would be and so much more.  I loved each and every second of it and could not be happier with the ending. Beau and Ethan are my favorite Walker family members and I am so happy we got to experience another great story with them.  Well done Nicole, you have once again knocked it out of the park!

(Current day)

“So, I was thinkin’…”

Ah, hell.

Perched on the arm of the couch, Ethan Walker glanced over at the stairs willing his husband to stop while he was ahead. Ethan knew what was coming before Beau even finished that statement and now was not the time for--

“Maybe we could skip dinner,” Beau continued, the deep cadence of his voice echoing off the walls as he made his way down the stairs. “And I could just lay you out on the kitchen table and feast on you tonight.”

Every inch of skin from Ethan’s chest to the tips of his ears flamed hot.

Well, technically, his entire body turned into a giant inferno before Beau rounded the landing and started down the second set of steps because, as was the way his life went, Ethan wasn’t the only one to have heard his husband’s sexy proposition.

Not by a long shot.

While Ethan’s life was a twelve on a scale of one to ten these days, it did seem that karma or fate or whatever the hell you wanted to call it was hell-bent on ensuring he suffered as much embarrassment as physically possible. As though life couldn’t be copacetic without a routine dose of mortification.

Today’s dose was a little more humiliating than others.

Ethan swallowed hard and stared at Beau, silently wishing the floor would open up and suck him down. The man Ethan loved more than life was sans shirt, shoes, and socks, wearing only a pair of well-worn blue jeans and a sexy smile.

It could’ve been worse. Maybe. At least Beau was wearing something.

The chuckle that sounded from Ethan’s sister-in-law said their guests were still there and they’d gotten more than an earful.

“Oh, shit.” Beau’s dark brown eyes widened as he came to a stop on the last step, his shocked gaze bouncing from one face to another.

“Hey, babe,” Ethan said tersely, trying to shrug off the embarrassment of having his husband proposition him while their company witnessed it firsthand. “Guess who’s here?” As though Beau couldn’t see with his own eyes, Ethan announced, “Travis, Kylie, Gage, and V.”

“And Zane,” Ethan’s youngest brother declared as he stepped out from the hallway. “I heard it, too.”

Fucking yeah.

Beau didn’t move, his gaze still darting from one person to the next. “Good to see you guys.”

Good wasn’t quite the word Ethan was thinking.

Figuring what the hell, Ethan risked a glance at their guests. Just as he thought, Travis was smirking, Kylie’s cheeks had turned a rosy pink, Gage was smiling, V was pretending she wasn’t there, and Zane was grinning like a loon.

The fucker.

“We were gonna suggest y’all join us at the diner,” Gage said after clearing his throat, his grin far too wide.

Zane—ever helpful—added, “But it sounds to me like you’ve already got plans. You know, with the table and all.”

Ethan coughed to cover a strained laugh. He wasn’t sure why he was laughing. Probably because he was seconds away from Forrest Gump-ing it out of the house. Once he made it past the porch, he’d be home free. Maybe if he ran long enough, one day they’d all forget this ever happened.

He peered up at Travis, then shot a look in Zane’s direction.

Nope. He couldn’t get that lucky. Ethan knew his brothers would never forget—ever, ever, ever—so he might as well save the time and energy.

“Lorrie and Curtis offered to watch the babies tonight,” Kylie explained. “So we thought we’d get outta the house for a bit. We stopped by to see if y’all wanted to join us.”

“Clearly, you two were thinkin’ about stayin’ in,” Travis offered, his deep voice ringing with mirth.

Ethan locked his eyes on Beau, refusing to look at his oldest brother again. He did not want to see any more amusement on the man’s face.

“Well, I think that’s our cue to go,” V said sweetly, grabbing Zane’s hand. “Come on, babe.”

Zane glanced at Ethan and smirked.

Fuck.

“Oh, but Ethan,” Gage stated, grinning as he turned toward the door, “you might wanna reinforce that table before … you know.”

Ethan discreetly flipped his brother-in-law off by rubbing the bridge of his nose with his middle finger.

Gage laughed.

“Come on, y’all,” Travis said, pushing off the wall and taking his wife’s hand. “Maybe we’ll see if Sawyer and Kennedy wanna grab a bite.”

“We’ll go,” Beau added, his tone reluctant. He clearly didn’t want to go.

“Oh, no,” Gage said dramatically. “I suggest you stay here and do exactly what you were plannin’.”

Zane’s head appeared in the doorway. “Far more interesting than a burger and fries.”

Ethan’s gaze shot to his husband’s, noticing the cocky grin that formed on Beau’s mouth.

“Don’t have to tell me twice.”

Ethan blushed.

Again.

His husband liked to do that to him. In fact, Ethan wouldn’t put it past Beau to have known that Travis and Zane, as well as their significant others, were here before he made that raunchy request.

“Talk to ya later,” Travis added on his way out the door. “And reinforce that table, E. Gage is right. Safety’s key.”

Ethan’s brother offered a backhanded wave over his head as he shifted his other hand behind Kylie’s back and urged her out of the house and down the porch steps.

Ethan didn’t hesitate before shutting the door.

Fucking hell.

As soon as they were alone, Ethan spun around to face Beau. “Did you do that on purpose?”

“Who me?” Beau was a picture of innocence, which made Ethan laugh. There wasn’t a damn thing virtuous about his barely dressed husband.

“Asshole,” Ethan grumbled, but he couldn’t stop the grin from pulling at the corners of his mouth.

Beau approached him, wrapping his big arms around Ethan and jerking him closer. “But you love me. Asshole and all.”

Ethan choked on a laugh. “Literally,” he agreed.

“I know what’ll make you love me more,” Beau whispered, leaning in and brushing his lips along Ethan’s jaw. “You know when I do that thing … with my tongue?”

Ethan moaned, tilting his head and offering Beau better access as his lips caressed Ethan’s neck. He stumbled a couple of steps until his back was against the wood door. The man’s mouth alone made his fucking knees weak.

“Yeah. You know what I’m talkin’ about,” Beau mumbled against his skin.

They might’ve been married for four and a half years now, but Ethan had to admit, the honeymoon still wasn’t over for them. In fact, if he had his way, the honeymoon would never be over.

The ridiculously attractive man who was his husband reached down and unbuttoned Ethan’s jeans, then slowly lowered the zipper as he kissed and licked Ethan’s neck.

Ethan placed his hand on Beau’s, halting his movements. “What do you think you’re doin’?”

Beau’s smile could be felt against his neck. “Makin’ it up to you.”

“Making what up?”

“My little blunder.” Beau’s breath fanned his neck. “I’m thinkin’ I can make you forget all about it by using my wicked oral skills on your cock as a distraction.”

Well, hell. Who could say no to that?

“Right now. Right here.” Beau’s words rasped against Ethan’s ear as Beau worked his T-shirt up his torso, then over his head. “My mouth wrapped around your cock.”

“That’s a good start.” A groan escaped as Beau stroked his dick slowly, leisurely.

“Is that what you need?”

“Oh, yeah.” Ethan would never turn down a blow job from Beau. “Put your mouth on me.”

Beau pushed Ethan’s jeans down his hips, freeing his cock. When his big hand fisted Ethan’s shaft again, it was difficult not to get lost in the sensation. The man knew every single one of Ethan’s buttons. He even knew just how hard to press them to make Ethan’s head spin.

“You know I could do this all day, every day.” Beau’s dark eyes were full of heat as he lowered himself to his knees.

Ethan planted his palms against the door behind him, his gaze dropping to Beau’s face as warmth enveloped his cock. He shuddered as the pleasure radiated through him. It didn’t matter where they were, whenever Beau turned his full attention on Ethan, he knew he was a goner. Resistance was futile.

Not that he had any intention of resisting. That desire had died a long time ago, back when Ethan had given in to Beau’s persistence in the beginning. Back when the man currently on his knees before him had insisted Ethan give in and take what was being offered.

Sliding one hand into Beau’s thick blond hair, Ethan tugged him closer, then pushed him back. He repeated the motion, getting lost in the glorious suction of his husband’s mouth.

“Love your mouth,” Ethan moaned. “So fucking much.”

“Well, you’re in luck.” Beau pulled back and licked Ethan from root to tip. “Because my mouth loves your cock.”

“Your mouth loves all of me,” Ethan said on a groan.

“True. Every delicious inch.”

His husband knew that saying shit like that would send Ethan racing to the edge. It always worked.

“Suck me.” Ethan tightened his grip on Beau’s hair. “All of me.”

Beau opened his mouth wide and Ethan took the offer that was given to him. He pushed his hips forward, driving his rock-hard cock deep into Beau’s throat before retreating slowly, watching as his shaft slid over Beau’s lips. The man had perfect lips. Hell, the man had perfect everything.

Ethan reached down and cupped Beau’s head with both hands, then began fucking his mouth hard and deep. The wet rasp of Beau’s tongue caused a tremor to shoot down his spine. Pumping his hips forward and back, Ethan rode the waves of pleasure that crashed into him.

Beau gripped Ethan’s thighs and took every punishing thrust until Ethan’s orgasm was barreling down on him, making him gasp and moan.

“I’m gonna come down your throat,” Ethan warned.

Beau’s only response was a growl of encouragement.

“Fuck, baby.” Ethan inhaled sharply, succumbing to the pleasure as his cock pulsed in Beau’s mouth. “Fuck, yes. Beau … baby … I’m comin’.”

Beau sucked hard and Ethan melted back against the door as his knees threatened to give out, his climax slamming into him, stealing his strength.

Ethan shuddered, weak from the all-consuming pleasure. “I don’t know how you do that.” He attempted to draw air into his lungs. “Every fuckin’ time.”

“The secret…” Beau got to his feet and successfully crushed Ethan between his big body and the door, “is in the fact that I love doing it.”

“What? Embarrassing me?”

Beau’s grin was wicked and contrite at the same time, but his eyes glowed with the love Ethan was so familiar with. “No. Sucking your cock.”

Ethan jerked Beau’s head down and fused their lips together, holding him tightly as he plundered his mouth.

“I would return the favor”—Ethan nipped Beau’s bottom lip—“but I think you deserve to suffer for a little while.”

Beau leaned his forehead against Ethan’s and grinned. “You know I love when you make me wait.”

That he did. While Ethan was all about instant gratification, Beau did enjoy when Ethan tortured him, giving him something to look forward to.

“I love you, E,” Beau said, his lips brushing Ethan’s.

“Love you, too.” Ethan chuckled. “Even if you do insist on embarrassing me in front of my brothers.”

“Me?” Beau pulled back, his dark brown eyes twinkling. “Not me.”

Uh-huh.

Four years or forty, Ethan knew without a doubt that he would never get enough of this man.

Never.
