Review & $50 GC Giveaway ~ IMAGINARY LINES by Allison Parr

Imaginary Lines Synopsis:
Tamar Rosenfeld has been in love with New York Leopards linebacker Abraham Krasner since they were twelve years old. She'd always considered it destiny that they'd end up together…until Abe was drafted and she professed her feelings in a moment of blind excitement. The sting of his rejection was like nothing she'd ever felt before, and it's nothing she'll ever forget.
Older and wiser, Tamar has landed a dream job as a reporter for one of New York's premier athletic websites. Determined to stop being the safe, boring girl she's felt like for most of her life, Tamar makes a list of all the things she wants to do and see in her new city, and Getting Over Abraham is priority number one.
But destiny has finally chosen to interfere. Just as Tamar's decided to move on, Abe's realized she's the only woman for him. When he confides the truth, Tamar has to decide if she can put her crush behind her, or take a chance on the very man who's been holding her back all these years.
Review:

Tamar has loved Abraham since she was a teenager.  Their families are extremely close and Tamar feels like they were meant to be together.  When she finally works up the courage to confess her feelings before he goes on to play pro football, it does not go well.  She learns that he has always known how she felt, but he didn’t expect her do or say anything about it.  Oh and he only thinks of her as a friend.  Can you say heartbroken?  Needless to say after that night their close relationship is ruined and they don’t speak or see each other for four years.
When Tamar lands a job as a reporter for Sports Today, she moves to New York where she finds out that she will be reporting on Abe’s team.  She doesn’t tell anyone of their history as she wants to prove herself as a reporter.  When she gets a text from Abe to get together, she is hesitant.  Could she really face him again?  Of course she could, she has never stopped loving Abe, just realized that he doesn’t feel the say way.  Slowly they start to re-kindle their friendship until to morphs into everything Tamar could hope for.  Their first kiss…..HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
Slowly they start their relationship and when Tamar finally gives in to Abe and they make love for the first time, it was like coming home for both of them.  Abe can’t believe he was so ignorant when he was younger as to his feelings toward Tamar.  When he finally admits that he just needed to grow up first, she realizes he is right and couldn’t be happier.
However, what would a good book be without some drama?  Soon their relationship is threatened by a story Tamar writes about faulty equipment, how it could contribute to more injuries to players and the cover-up of the information by the team owners.  She is ridiculed in the media and Abe is told he is not allowed to talk to her by the owners.  Will their love be enough to overcome this hurdle?  Will Abe give up and not fight for her?  In order to find out who this wonderful story ends, make sure to get your copy today!!
I truly enjoyed this story and couldn’t put it down.  What a great second chance love story that has a terrific ending.  I loved how Tamar was able to find herself and her confidence along the way.  She always loved Abe, but never believed her feelings would be returned.  However, they were more than returned.  Abe proved his love to her in one of the most heartfelt ways and it made me fall for him even more.  Don’t just take my word for it, go out and get your copy today!!
