 Review
If you are looking for a quick, steamy read while waiting on your kids to get done at practice or at the doctor’s office, this is the book for you.  Marney and the Sheriff Dell O’Neil, get off on the wrong foot right from the beginning.  Marney thinks someone is in her house and calls 911.  When the Sheriff gets there, he doesn’t find any sign of a break in and the alarm was not armed.  He believes she made up the story to meet him.  Marney is so embarrassed he thinks that, even if he did catch her ogling him.  When she goes to Chicago that weekend to attend a fundraiser that is going to be attended by some of Chicago’s richest people, she just wants to forget about the Sheriff.  What she doesn’t expect is to run into Dell there.
When she gets back home she gets a surprise visit from Dell asking her not to tell his secret.  Soon they start spending more time together and realize they have a lot in common.  Dell tells her he is only interested in no-strings attached sex and soon they find themselves in a friends with benefits relationship.  No matter how much she tries, Marney can’t ignore her feelings for him and is scared to let him know for fear of losing him.  Her friends talk her into telling him and it is a disaster.  While Dell does have feelings for her, he is not ready to admit it.
Will the Sheriff finally come to terms with his feelings?  Will Marney ever get over her broken heart?  Go get your copy today and see how this story ends.  I enjoyed this book.  It is a quick read that gives you everything you need: a hot sheriff, steamy sex, angst, funny banter and coming to terms with ones past in order to move on.  Don’t just take my word for it, get your copy and see for yourself!

“I don’t want to be in love.  I like the fact that we’re friends.  I like that we can talk to each other about anything.  But if you think you’re in love, I’m out that door.” ~Dell
“I love you enough to know that if I let you stay you will really, really hurt me someday.” ~Marney
He might have made rules, decisions, but his heart had always had other plans.  He’d tumbled into love without even realizing it. ~Dell
