This story starts at a bad time for Megan Reynolds. She has just lost her grandfather, the only
family she had left and is still reeling from his death. She finds out that she was the sole heir to
her grandfather’s property and a large inheritance from not only her
grandparents but from a long deceased aunt as well. However, there is a problem with settling the
estate as someone has blocked the transfer stating they have a right to the
property. Even with that bump in the
road, Meg is determined to make the best of things. She has always dreamed of making the property
an education center for children and helping them learn about the rocks.
While walking
around on the property she runs into the town vet, Jake Mathews. He knew her grandfather and always came to
the property to watch the wild horses.
While shocked to find someone else there and wondering why he was there,
Meg can’t help but notice how hot he is.
Jake isn’t sure what to make of Meg, but he does know that he wants to
get to know her better. Soon they find
themselves in a fake-turned-real relationship after his mom once again meddles
in his love life. However, they do not
regret it and embark on a hot, steamy ride!!
When a threat to
Meg’s safety is made and she is kidnapped, Jake realizes that he loves her and
he is determined to get her back. While
facing certain death at the hands of her captor, Meg also realizes that she loves
Jack and will stop at nothing to see him again.

order to find out, you will need to get the book. I really enjoyed this book and was very happy
with the outcome. It was a pretty quick
read for me as I couldn’t put it down, I had to know who was threatening Meg
and if they would get their HEA. Meg and
Jake were pretty funny together and I enjoyed their banter, there was several

Such a good read!!
This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! The book starts with Marcy Bradley being held
hostage in the middle of a bank robbery.
Right from the beginning you had to admire her spirit and determination
to not only get herself out, but the other people held as well. When she talks the robber into letting her
get him something from outside, she sees none other than her ex-husband
JB. JB works for the FBI and is
determined to get her out safe. Once the
bank robbery is over, everyone thinks they are in the clear until shots are fired
right at Marcy.
JB is determined
to find out who shot at Marcy and why.
He doesn’t understand why anyone would want to hurt her. A day or so later, Marcy convinces him to let
her go shopping with her sister and promises to be safe. He decides to let her go, but is going to
follow her to make sure she arrives ok.
However, things do not go as planned as someone sabotaged her car and
she is close to death. JB manages to
stop her car and get her and her sister to safety. After arriving at the police station later,
she receives another threat and everyone is one edge.
Since JB refuses
to leave Marcy, they find themselves trying to denying the sexual tension
between them. To be honest, it is not
only sexual tension, but strong undying love.
Marcy and JB have always loved each other, but their past always seems
to keep them for having a HEA. With
everything that is going on, Marcy admits to JB that they are still married as
she couldn’t bring herself to file the divorce papers. To say JB is shocked is an understatement;
however, he can’t bring himself to be mad over this. Marcy has always been it for him and he has
always wanted to be with her.
When another
threat is made and they are made to find safety at an isolated cabin, things
between them finally erupt like a hot, scorching volcano!!!! Nothing like three years away from the love
of your life to kick up the hotness factor!
I was so happy when they finally came to terms with their past and left
everything out in the open. I wanted
them to be together something fierce.
In the end, was
their explosion of love too late? Will
they find out who is after Marcy and survive?
