C.A Harms has once again proven why she is one of my favorite authors.  Her ability to deliver a story with so much passion while throwing the characters into so much turmoil is just unreal.  At this point I believe she is incapable of writing something I won't love.

Kade suffered an unimaginable loss when his girlfriend passed away.  As a result, he has shut himself off from everyone emotionally.  He doesn't believe he deserves happiness; therefore, he tries to keep his desire for Avery locked up tight.  He believes she deserves true happiness and he is not the one who is able to give it to her.

Avery has wanted Kade since they first met.  She knew something had happened in his past to cause him to close himself off, but she didn't know what it was.  When she finds out the reason for his sadness, her heart breaks for both him and her step-father.  However, she is determined to help him rise from the darkness and see the light.

When Kade hurts Avery in the worst way, will there be any redemption for him?  Will Avery be able to recover from the dagger thrown at her heart?  In order to find out, you MUST 1-click your copy today!

I enjoyed this book from the beginning right to the end.  I loved the journey we were sent on to help these to hearts heal and finally find their HEA.  The author did a great job of bringing this story full circle and I couldn't be happier with the way it ended.  I take that back, I would be happier if there was a longer peek into Jude's story, but I will take what I can get.  With that being said, write faster C.A. Harms!!!!  I need Jude's story like yesterday!

“Here’s the address,” Easton said as he passed the paper over the top of the table toward me. “Bennie said they live in a ranch-style home at the end of the lane.”

Vermont. They stuck around for a few months after the funeral and then picked up and moved thousands of miles away. Running from the place where they saw their daughter everywhere they looked.

“You sure about this, Kade?” Jett asked as he sat down in the booth next to me.

“Yeah, I am. It’s something I have to do. It’s the last step before I can say good-bye to Jenna,” I explained as I twisted the paper between my fingers. “I’m ready to move on with Avery, and I can’t do that until I do this.”

My stomach was in knots at the idea of facing Jenna’s parents. I had no idea what to expect, but I wanted to close this chapter.

“I’m gonna need something from you, Jett,” I said as I looked up from my hands.

“And what would that be, brother?” he asked.

“Keep an eye on my girl,” I said, and he grinned widely and nodded as Easton chuckled. “Yeah, I know. You never thought you’d see the day, right?”

Jett placed his hand on my shoulder and patted it.

“Nope, I didn’t, but it looks good on ya.” “What does?” I asked.

“Love, infatuation, whatever you wanna call it,” Easton said.

“Pussy-whipped, henpecked, does it matter how you refer to it?” Jude flopped down in the seat next to Easton, chuckling. “Avery has you wrapped around her pinky, and you are sunk to the deepest depths, brother.”

I smiled. “Where the hell did you come from?”

“I’ve been quietly observing this exchange you three were having.” He leaned back, waiting for me argue with what he had said. But he was right. It was pointless. Avery had me tied up tight, and there was no coming back.

C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You will always find her with her kindle or paperback in hand as it is her favorite pass time.
