If you love books where the female character falls in love with the older brother's best friend, you will definitely want to pick up a copy of this lovely read! I loved reading Ava and Barrett's story. They both had lusted after each over for years and it was only a matter of time before the fireworks went off. And boy did they ever!! While Barrett is the clean cut attorney, he has the dirtiest mouth around and the things he can do with that mouth are downright explosive!
Ava has been in love with Barrett her whole life, but never felt she had a chance with him. However, when he comes back to town for her dad's retirement party, she knows that it is either now or never. Even if she is convinced that she could never have Barrett long term, she wants to enjoy him while she can. When she accidentally walks in on Barrett in the nude, she knows there is no going back.
Barrett has lusted after Ava for years, but was not willing to break the bro code in order to have her. She was strictly off limits. But when he finds out that Ava wants him as much as he wants her, all bets are off. He will stop at nothing to have her and show her just how dirty he can be.
This was such an enjoyable read. I immediately could relate to Ava and hoped she would get her HEA. Barrett was a quite man just waiting for the the right opportunity to claim Ava, even if it did ruin his friendship with his best friend. Their journey to find their HEA was wonderful and so worth the read. I loved the conclusion and couldn't have thought of a better way for the story to end. Once again, Kendall Ryan has given us another amazing story and I can't wait to see what she writes next!
