SYNOPSIS:
Lucy
Levi drives me crazy, and not the good kind of crazy.
He’s smoldering hot and so d*mn sexy, it’s dangerous.
He’s a hotshot firefighter and nearly sets me on fire whenever he’s around.
Perhaps it’s an occupational hazard.
He teases me every chance he gets and tempts me to let down my guard.
I certainly don’t need a man.
But Levi’s more than a man. He’s a man on octane fuel—pure, raw, primal masculinity practically oozes from his pores.
One night of weakness, and I tumble into the flames.
It’s more than lust. It’s how I feel when I’m with him—safe and protected. I never want to let go.
I might get burned if I’m not careful.
Levi
Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and hate can always turn into love.
Or at least lust.
Lucy hates me. She especially hates how much I want her.
And sweet h*ll do I want her.
But she can’t be bothered to even give me the time of day.
I should give up the chase, but I can’t.
It’s more than a spark between us, it’s a bonfire.
Fate rolls the dice and lands Lucy right where I want her.
She needs my help, and I need her, every inch of her lush curves.
One taste, and I’m lost. I’ll do anything to have her and to hold her.
To make her mine.
*This is a steamy, full-length standalone romance with a guaranteed happily-ever-after. No cliffhangers. Nothing but steamy romance & HEA!
REVIEW
Wow. Can someone tell me where I can find a Levi of my own? He is one amazing specimen and I want more of him!! Shew, with that being said, let me just say that I highly enjoyed this read. Levi and Lucy were perfect for each other, in and out of the bedroom.
Levi and Lucy knew each other through their friends and had always been attracted to each other. Levi wanted to date her, but Lucy’s past stood in the way of any chance they had. When Lucy needs a place to stay, Levi is more than willing for her to move in with him.
As the days go by, Lucy starts to wonder if being with Levi is really a bad thing. He has showed her time and again that she can trust him, she just needs to have the balls to go after what she wants.
Levi, oh so wonderful Levi, is everything you could want in a man wrapped up in one delicious package. He is sweet, caring, lovable, sexy, and loves to get dirty. He knows Lucy is it for him, he just has to show her the same thing.
I absolutely loved this read. The author did a great job of keeping the story flowing and exciting. I felt like I had to keep reading because I had to know what was going to happen next. Lucy and Levi were wonderful and I couldn’t be any happier with how the story ended. If you are in the market for a dirty hotshot firefighter and a strong woman who knows what she wants, this is the book for you. I promise you will not be disappointed.
EXCERPT
Levi
She
stared at me for a moment, her gaze considering. “Levi…” she began, her words
trailing off.
“Yes
Lucy?” I countered when she didn’t say anything else.
She
stepped closer to me where I sat at the table. I was trying to be a gentleman.
Hell, I’d called on all of my gentlemanly impulses over the last few
days. Trying to give her space, trying not to tease. I knew in passing from
Cade she hadn’t had a lick of luck finding a place to stay yet. Which was quite
all right with me. Except for the fact that she was driving me slightly crazy.
Not because I minded having her around. Rather, the problem was I wanted her.
Badly.
The
more she was around, the more of a mystery she became to me. She was wound so
tight and so guarded. Initially, I’d been drawn to her because of the challenge
she represented. Oh and the plain fact that her mere existence near me was like
throwing a lit match into the need burning inside of me.
I
still wanted her, but now I wanted to understand her. The more time I spent
around her, the more I sensed her underlying vulnerability. I watched as she
stepped closer yet again, her tongue swiping across her bottom lip.
Oh
fuck. She needed to not do things like that. She was only about a foot
away from me with her eyes locked to mine. The flush on her cheeks deepened,
and she worried the hem of her sweatshirt between her thumb and forefinger.
Without thinking, I reached over and curled my hand over hers, wanting to ease
her restless energy. Her breath drew in sharply when I touched her. Hot damn.
That point of contact was like a bolt of lightning.
