We first met Gavin and Maria in the previous book in this series, Forgiving Reed, and were left wondering what would happen to them. We knew that Gavin and Maria had a relationship, but we were not sure exactly what happened between them or where they were headed. This book is the perfect follow up and answers so many of your unanswered questions.
Maria doesn't feel as though she deserves to be happy and loved, so she shortchanges herself constantly. Gavin was burned by his ex-wife and has no desire to commit to another woman again. What happens when Gavin realizes he doesn't always get what he wants and Maria learns she is worth so much more than she realizes?
This book was truly an enjoyable read. Not only do we fall in love with Maria and Gavin, but we also get an update with Reed and Kori. I have to say that I loved Gavin, that is once he woke up and realized what was right in front of him. Once that happens, he shows exactly why he is such a sweet man. Maria, oh how you can't help but feel for Maria for a couple of different reasons.
This book was a wonderful addition to the Southern Boys Series and shows everyone why we love Southern Boys so much. I am chomping at the bit to read the next book in the series about Maria's brother Colt. The preview was just enough to hook you and I have truly been hooked!!
