Oh, how the mighty fall!! Let me start by saying that this was the book I was most looking forward to in this series. We knew about Max and Bree's "relationship" from the previous book and knew Bree was seriously getting short changed. She was willing to accept anything Max offered her in order to have him in her life. Max was not ready to admit how he truly feels about Bree. He just assumes she will always be there waiting for him. However, when Max is injured on the job, he finally succeeds in pushing Bree too far.
Once Max realizes his mistake, will it be too late? Will he be able to win Bree back and prove to her that he can be the man she needs him to be? Will Bree allow Max back into her life? While she knows that she will always love him, is she ready to take the chance and risk her heart one more time?
I seriously can't recommend this book enough. I loved it from the first page until the last page. Max truly grew up in this book and realized that the love of a woman is all he truly needs in life. While we are used to seeing the dominating Max, this book also shows his softer side and lets you truly get to know who he really is.
Bree, oh how I couldn't help but feel for Bree. She has had a truly hard life and knows she deserves someone who loves her unconditionally and will always be by her side. I love her strength and how she never gives up on what is truly important, complete unconditional love.
I promise you will not be disappointed in this book. It is truly a great read and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next book between Lily and Tanner. I know it will be just as great as this one, if not even better. Don't just take my word for it, make sure to get your copy of this wonderful read today!!
