Oh my, where do I begin?
I seriously think Tessa Bailey is incapable of writing a book that is
not extraordinary. I have read all of her
books and I love each and every one, this one is no exception. Reed is a pure alpha male who knows who he
wants and is not afraid to go after it. He
has a troubled past that causes him to put up walls around him that he is
determined to not let anyone through.
What he didn’t count on was meeting Julie.
Julie comes from
a wealthy family and has everything she has ever wanted in life. However, her life direction changed four
years ago with her sister’s death. She
has become what she thinks everyone wants her to be, even if it takes a toll on
her. When she comes across the tatted,
delicious, SWAT Team Commander, she can’t get him out of her mind. She has never wanted anyone the way she wants
Reed, but she doesn’t believe it will work out as she never gets her own happy
ending.
Both Reed and
Julie have such pain and baggage from their past that it is hard for them to
put all that aside. However, when they
finally do get together it is like the 4th of July!! The fireworks between the two of them can be
