Review:

     I loved this book from the beginning to the end!  It is such a touching story about two people who don't feel like they have the time for love in their lives.  Slowly they start to realize that they could have more than just sex, if only they could let go of their pasts.  

     Sophie is back in Montana to visit her mother who is on her death bed and try to figure out what to do with her life.  She recently lost her job, so there is nothing to go back to Minnesota to.  While at a carnival, she sees Tucker and can't help but marvel over how perfect he is.  She wouldn't mind going on a ride with him, and she isn't thinking of a carnival ride.  

     Tucker is at the carnival to meet with a client when he lays his eyes on Sophie.  She is beautiful and he can't help but be drawn to her.  Soon they make small talk and he realizes how comfortable he is around her.  He would love nothing more to make their night more intimate.  Soon they both give into their desires and have the hottest one night stand imaginable.  

     They believe they will not see each other again, and end it at that.  However, fate intervenes and Sophie shows up at his family's ranch for some much needed R&R.  Tucker can't believe his luck.  She is all he has been able to think about and he is even willing to break his own rule of one night only just for another chance to be with her.  Sophie is equally shocked.  She has relived their amazing night so many times that she can't help but want another encounter.  
     Soon Tucker finds any excuse he can to go to her cabin, he can't stand the thought of not being near her.  Sophie loves seeing Tucker, so it is no hardship when he comes to visit.  After a while, can't help but get closer.  
     Eventually Sophie has to get any job she can to help pay for her mother's medical expenses.  When Tucker finds out where she works, he doesn't want her working there because he doesn't want other men to lust after what he considers his.  When breaks down and finally asks Sophie for more and to quit her job, she turns him down.  He can't understand it.  When she takes him to show him why she can't invest more time into their relationship and why she needs to work, he is taken back.  He doesn't know what to say when he sees her mother laying lifeless in the bed.  On the way out he does the only thing he knows to do to help out, he pays for her mother's expenses.  
     After some soul searching, Sophie realizes that she could make room for Tucker in her life and goes to make amends with him, she is shocked at the reception she receives.  Tucker is cold and says some truly hateful things to her.  She leaves his office in tears and knows she can never forgive him.  After she leaves, Tucker can't believe he said those things to her.  He knows he truly messed up and he will never have a life with her.  
     When Tucker gets news that Sophie's mom is dying he fights his inner demons on whether or not to go to her.  When his heart wins out, he races to he by her side.  He is heartbroken by what he finds.  He is only grateful that he was there in time to be with Sophie when her mom passes away.  When he takes her back to his house that night, Sophie wants him to help her forget for a little while.  He is more than willing to help, he knows that he is head over heels in love with her and would do anything to ease her pain.  The next morning he wakes up to find her gone and the cabin she stayed in empty.  He knows that he truly run off the only person he will ever love.
     Will Tucker will back Sophie's heart?  Will Sophie let Tucker back in, even with all the awful things he said to her?  Will they get the HEA they both deserve?  In order to find out you will need to read the book.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed.  This book truly tugs on your heart in so many ways.  Sophie has the weight of the world on her shoulders and thinks she doesn't deserve happiness at the moment.  Tucker was a past that he is afraid will repeat itself if given the chance.  It was great reading how they both were learning from the past and how to handle the future.  I can't recommend this book enough.  And I have to say, the ending of the book was so wonderful!!  What are you waiting for?  Go get your copy today!

Oh, where do I even start?  I had no expectations when I started this book but, I can honestly say that I was not disappointed.  This story grips you right from the start and doesn’t let go.  Honestly, I was a little frustrated because I don’t want to have to wait to find out what happens!!  However, it gives me something to look forward to and I can’t wait to see how Mia’s story plays out. 

     Mia, oh poor Mia, was kicked out of school and had her dreams of being a journalist ripped away from her by the person she trusted the most…her ex-boyfriend.  With no direction in life, she is just floating through the motions, sleeping with random men trying to feel anything.  When her former advisor asks her to come in for a meeting, she didn’t know how much it would change her life.  She is asked to be a mole in a company in exchange for her dream of being editor-in-chief for a prominent magazine.  After much consideration, she decides to do it and is shocked to meet her new boss. 

     Ethan has taken a role in his father’s company, not out of need, but more out of obligation.  However, his life is about to take a turn into the unexpected when Mia steps foot into his office.  He is immediately drawn to her and knows she feels the same way.  He is determined to make her his. 

     Once they start working together, it is hard to deny the chemistry they have together.  It seems that Ethan is the only one able to make her feel at peace, truly wanted and she is not sure how to handle it.  She took the job with his company to be a mole and knows she can’t start a relationship with him.  But that doesn’t stop her from craving his touch.  When she finally breaks down and gives in to their attraction, the fireworks start flying!!  HOT, HOT, HOT!!

     However, nothing can be that easy.  When Mia tries to back out of her deal to be a mole, her life and the lives of her friends are threatened.  When she starts getting followed, she knows she has no other choice but to stick it out.  She is torn about what to do about Ethan, he is crawling further into her heart but she knows when he finds out what she has been doing everything will be over.   However, the deception is eating her alive.  When she finally works up the nerve to tell him the truth, she doesn’t expect his reaction. 

     Will Ethan forgive her?  Will Mia survive the threats being hurled her way?  Will she ever get her HEA?  Is it going to be with Ethan or someone else?  Will the secret surrounding her scar be revealed?  To get the answers to these questions and so many more, you will need to read this book.  I promise you will not be disappointed.  Yes, the book is part of a series, but I promise it is worth the suspense of waiting for the next one!!  Hopefully it will be released before too much longer and we will not be forced to wait too long. 

     I truly enjoyed this book.  The characters are very well written and both Mia and Ethan have lots of hidden secrets you will want to unravel.  Mia is a strong, courageous woman who has been through so much in her life.  You can’t help but want the best for her and want her to get a HEA.  The supporting characters are great as well.  Her best friends and roommates are the only true family she has and they are so sweet and protective of her. I am really looking forward to the next book and seeing where Mia goes.  I know if you read it you will feel the same way, but don’t just take my word for it; make sure to get your copy today!!

“What the hell are you doing here? Are you stalking me now?” I snapped.

I attempted to remove his hand, but the effort behind it was marginal. Everything within me relished his hands all over me. My knees became weak with the heavy want coursing between my legs. My upper body constricted with my wayward needs. Ethan tightened his grip as he whirled me around so that my back was on his front. The music shifted to a slow, deliberate song that was fitting for my predicament. I cursed Usher underneath my breath for coming out with this song. Ethan had buried me into his body. It was impossible not to notice his hardness. He ran his hands down the front of my thighs until he hit bare skin.

“It's hard to stalk someone when they're in the club that you own,” he shot back.

“You own this place?” I stammered.

“I have a vested interest, so I come in on occasion. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered you were here,” he remarked.

My concentration was dwindling with every stroke he made upon my body. Ethan continued running his hands up and down my thighs, causing my heart to beat out of my chest. I bit my lip to keep from moaning from the pleasure when his fingers lingered towards the inside. My hands took on a mind of their own as they slid down his waist and thighs. His breaths trickled across my neck. It heightened the erotic dance south of me. I was in the danger zone with him. I fought to find my rational side to avoid undressing for him right then and there. My mind grasped at the few functioning brain cells to keep him talking. It was my last line of defense to keep him from kissing me.

“Why are you so upset?”

“I'm angry because you keep denying me when it's clear you want me. To top it off, you come to my club and dance with countless men right in front of me,” Ethan growled.

He ran his nose down my neck before licking away a bead of sweat. I gasped. The hand that he had moved to my waist slipped underneath my top. He caressed my belly before running his fingers further down, making every ounce of me come to a dull ache. Against my will, my body moved in ways to encourage him to travel further south to take full advantage of me. Ethan's hands settled along my waistline, lazily trailing his fingers along it. My mind screamed one last time that this was not an option for me. In a last-ditch attempt, I paused his hands so he wouldn't go any further. Ethan whipped me around to face him. The passion in his eyes was unmistakable.

“I'm trying to do the right thing,” I moaned.

His hands drifted underneath my shirt and up my sides on their way north this time. As he progressed along my rib cage to the lower line of my bra, he moved us off the dance floor. Ethan pushed me up against a pillar at the far end of it. He brought his body right into mine. He tossed in an occasional thrust of the hips as he pinned me, just to remind me how very well he knew my body. Ethan cupped my breast with tender strokes of his hand before pressing his lips on a spot underneath my ear lobe. It was enough to melt every part of me. I was throbbing all over for him.

“You want me. I want you. I don't care what's right or wrong,” Ethan hissed.

I tilted my neck as he trailed deep kisses down my collarbone and exposed shoulder. I wanted him so much that it was close to making me burst. I moaned even louder when his teeth grazed the crook of my shoulder. He sucked along my neck with eagerness, making no effort to hold back his want for me. I slanted my head to bring my lips vigorously down on his. My tongue drifted across the top of his mouth before his tongue met mine where they danced to the beat with the music around us. My hands moved down to his hips as he pumped against me. I slid them even further down to his ass. Ethan responded by grinding harder and grabbing one of my legs to raise it around his hip.

Our bodies melded together in an erotic dance as our mouths devoured each other. I lost myself in the music, in his lips, in his body, in his hands, and in the desires he brought out in me. His hands ran up and down my body while his lips and hips brought me to the point of no return.

About the Author

M. M. Koenig was born and raised in Minnesota. She now lives in the Twin Cities area with her loving dog Marley. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology.

She pays the bills as a customer service representative at a major title insurance company, but writing is her true calling. She is still searching for that special someone, but isn’t worried about finding him. He’s out there somewhere. Four years ago Derek left Andrea because he felt like he was honoring his best friend’s last wishes, even though it tore him apart to do so.  Andrea never got over Derek.  She had been in love with him for as long as she could remember, but he ripped her heart out when he left without a word.  When a repairman is called to fix the dishwasher where he is the chef, the last person he expects to walk in the door is Andrea.  They are both thrown for a loop as they are forced to face their past.  Derek can’t help but want to be with her, she is the only person he has ever wanted.  Andrea would love answers about why he left and had not contacted her in four years. 

     As the night wears on, they can’t help but feel the pull between them.  Soon they are making out in a cramped hallway in the back of the bar.  Is Andrea ready to forgive him and move forward in their lives together?  Is Derek ready to follow his heart and claim the only woman he has ever loved?  This is a wonderful story about coming to terms with your past and getting a second chance at love.  I felt so sorry for Derek and all the agony he was going through regarding the death of Andrea’s brother, but knew he needed to forgive himself and move on.  Will they get their HEA?  You will need to read the story to find out!

Lucky Star by Grace Teague

When her life is threatened by a mugger, Charlotte Price realizes she's in love with her best friend, Tommy Leung. The Brazen Head seems like the perfect neutral place to confess her feelings, but nothing goes according to plan.

Review

     During a frightening mugging, Charlotte realizes that she is in love with her best friend Tommy.  When she finally gets up the nerve to confess her feelings, she invites him to her local pub, The Brazen Head so she can be on neutral ground.  She has no idea if Tommy feels the same way, but she knows she can’t go on without telling him.  Tommy is not sure why they came to the local pub, but he does know that he doesn’t like the way the staff is flirting with her.  He is not sure how he feels about Charlotte and that makes his jealousy even more confusing. 

     When the head back to her apartment, she finally works up her nerve and tells him how she feels.  What will Tommy’s response be?  Is he ready to be in a relationship again after his last one ended badly?  Can he stand to lose her if his feelings are not the same?

      I liked Charlotte’s story because I think a lot of people can relate to it.  She fell in love with her best friend and is scared to make a move.  If he doesn’t feel the same, she could lose him forever and she is not sure she can live without him.  It is a sweet story about taking risks and going after what your heart desires, make sure you don’t miss out and see how this story ends!

A New Tune by Ana Blaze

When it comes to dating, Holly Hall has one unbreakable rule: no musicians. Not even gorgeous ones. Especially not gorgeous ones. Dating them only leads to heartbreak. So why did she let singer-songwriter Cian O’Neill kiss her? And why is she thinking about doing it again?

Review

     Holly is trying to get her life back together and making a not so wise choice to drop out of college and follow her musician boyfriend on the road.  When he throws their relationship away, she vows to never become involved with another musician.  However, she begins to rethink her position when she meets Cian. 

     Cian has pursued Holly for months.  All he wants is the opportunity to prove to her that he is worth the risk.  While he has no idea why she is so put off by him being a musician, he vows to make her see who he really is.  When he gets the chance to spend time with her due to a snowstorm, you better believe he is going to take advantage of it.

     The more time they are together and the more Holly starts to see the real Cian, she starts to realize that he is nothing like her ex.  When the sparks become too much, they finally erupt in one scorching hot couch session.  Will Holly completely give herself over to Cian, or will she run from the intimacy?  Can Cian finally break through Holly’s walls and show her he will love her 100% and will always be there for her?   

     I understood why Holly was holding herself back from Cian.  She had truly been burned by her ex and was not ready to repeat the past.  However, the more she was around Cian, I truly wanted them to be together.  He was so sweet and wanted nothing more than to make her happy.  I was really happy with the outcome of this story and I believe you will enjoy it too.

Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips

As a bartender, Sean Whelan meets all kinds of women every night, but none turn his head the way that Lexi has. She’s been playing cat and mouse with him for weeks. Tonight, Sean’s determined to get Lexi to quit teasing and take a real chance on him.

Review

     Sean never has a shortage of women trying to get his attention and trying to get him his bed.  After all, he is a hot bartender in his family’s pub.  However, the only one that he wants to get close too is always just out of his reach.  But tonight, he plans to make his feelings toward Lexi known and get her to take a chance on him. 

     Lexi has been coming into the pub every Friday night just to see Sean.  While she doesn’t belive his flirting is genuine, she has no shame in enjoying it.  She just wishes she knew if his flirting was real or just another tool of the trade. 

     When she starts to see different pieces of the real Sean, she can’t help but fall farther under his spell.  He is such a sweet, caring man but be doesn’t let people see that side of him.  When he finally confesses how he feels, she is totally blown away.  She wants nothing more than to fall into his waiting arms, but she is scared to take a chance on him.  Will Sean be able to get through to her heart and claim it as his own?  Will Lexi tell him about her past and risk he may change his mind?  In order to find out, you will need to read the story.

     After reading the other three stories, I really wanted to know more about Sean.  He seemed like such a sweet guy, but you could tell he was holding back.  When you finally see how tender he is with Lexi, you can’t help but fall for him.  I love how he handled the news about her past and convinced her to let go and move on.  It truly is a sweet story about moving on and learning to live each day to the fullest.

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier

A bachelorette party Drink or Dare game pairs paramedic students, Rachel Robertson and Killian Whelan, in a flirting match. Soon, the dares threaten to turn their academic rivalry into something much more.

Review

     This was such a sweet, fun story to read.  Rachel is out with her friends for a bachelorette party and just happens to start their pub crawl at The Brazen Head.  The last person she expects to find there working is fellow paramedic student, Killian.  She has always found him attractive, but when she sees him in a tight shirt and kilt, she is done for. 

     Killian has had a crush on Rachel for a while, but was too scared to act on his feelings.  Even with their bickering at school, he can’t help but fall for her.  She is the only girl he has wanted since coming back from visiting his parents in Ireland. 

     As the night wears on and Rachel is drinking more and more, the game of drink and dare is started.  Rachel is dared to not only flash Killian, but kiss him as well.  When her lips meet his, lets just say the bar heats up a few degrees!!  There is no denying their attraction to one another.  The only question is to whether or not they will take a chance on finding love.  Will they finally give in to their feelings?  Will they get their HEA?  You will need to read the story to find out.  I promise you will not be disappointed.  It was a great story to end the book on and I really liked Rachel and Killian together.  All I can say is HOT, HOT, HOT!!  Don’t just take my word for it, make sure you get your copy of this book today!

Review:

     After getting injured in the Army, Danielle needs something to do to pass the time while she rehabs her leg.  So when she is offered the chance to be part of the security team for a writer/movie star/total heartthrob, she jumps on the opportunity.  I mean, how hard can it be to babysit a playboy?  What she doesn’t expect is her first encounter with Zach to be when he is passed out naked with an equally naked girl next to him.  She is taken back by just how perfect he is, how could you not notice his naked perfection?  However, she knows that she has to steer clear of Zach and not get involved with him.

     When Zach sees Danielle for the first time, he has no idea who she is but can’t help but notice how beautiful she is.  Soon he learns that she is his new bodyguard and he can’t help but be taken back.  He was expecting some big burly guy, but instead has a petite woman who he can’t take his eyes off of.  He is determined to get close to Danielle and breakthrough her walls. 

     The more time they spend together, the harder it is to deny their attraction to each other.  When he catches Dani in the pool, Zach takes a chance to get closer.  And boy, does he.  Dani never had a problem resisting the men she served with, because in the service sex was the last thing she wanted to experience.  However, now that she was not officially on duty, she has decided to let go and experience all that life has to offer.  And that includes the delicious Zach.  Soon there is no denying that everything between them is explosive, and I do mean EXPLOSIVE!!  Could the sex scenes get any hotter?  I don’t think so. 

      However, all good things must come to an end.  When Zach puts himself in crosshairs of the people after him in order to draw them out, he makes a big mistake by not telling Dani.  When she thinks he has been shot, she is devastated.  When she learns the truth, she feels betrayed and know their time together is over.  No matter how much she has come to love Zach, she cannot deal with his deception.  She leaves him that night and doesn’t tell anyone where she is going, including her boss and Zach’s best friend.  When Zach learns Dani left him, he is distraught.  He never thought not telling her his plans would end everything between them.  He knows that he has made a mistake and will stop at nothing to get her back. 

     Will Dani forgive Zach for not trusting her enough to tell her his plans?  Will Zach be able to beg enough for her forgiveness?  Will Dani pass her physical and go back to the Army where she knows her heart is safe?  If she does, will Zach lose her forever?  I promise you will want to read this book to find out the answers to these questions and so much more.  I truly enjoyed this book for the first page to the last.  Nina Croft knows how to hook readers right from the beginning and keep them until the end.  I seriously had a hard time putting this book down until I finished it.  I have no doubt that you will be the same way.  What are you waiting for?  Make sure to get your copy today!!
